No Guts No Glory

NGNG WALL MURAL

It was time for something new and exciting for the back wall of the No Guts No Glory shop, and I had the perfect thing in mind...

A Mural. Something that immediately attracts the attention of passers-by, and informs them of what NGNG is all about!

I wanted something type-based, and after sketching on the backs of hundreds of out dated flyers, to no avail, I decided that help was indeed needed.

So, here's a step-by-step guide of how to get a mural up on your shop wall if you can't design and paint it yourself!

1) Email Becca Allen and say "Becca! Your work is amazing! I'd love to commission you to design a mural for the wall in my shop..."

Becca will say something like "Sounds great! send me some details...", and you'll receive an image as brilliant as this one"



2) Crop the image into A3 segments, and get your local print shop to print them up for you...




3) Line them up, stick them together, and get them up on the wall...



4) Get some Graphite Transfer Paper, stencil the image onto the wall and ask the best tattooist in town, Lauren Gow, to lend a steady and patient hand with a paintbrush and some acrylic...
(this may require cups of tea and wagamamas!)



5) Ta-Daaaa. All that's left is to photograph this masterpiece, share it with the world and say a huge thank you to Becca and Lauren for their invaluable help...
