New Things!

Saturday 8th October

This week we’ve received lots of new things to display on the shelves here in the No Guts No Glory Shop, including prints and zines by the lovely Sandra Dieckmann and some delightful prints by Beth Buss and Stephen Graham!

I came across Sandra Dieckmann’s work while enjoying a cuppa and scanning through Ammo Magazine’s website, and I was totally blown away. The first thing that struck me about her wonderful illustrations was the emotions that were conveyed within them. With a deep love for animals and the world that we live in, Sandra’s work is filled with soul and explorations of our connection to nature.

Kes is available in A3 and A4, and is an inkjet of Sandra’s original illustration. Printed on beautifully textured 225 gsm high quality Somerset enhanced paper made from 100% cotton fibres in the St. Cuthbert Mill in Somerset, England.

Young Treasure is also available in A3 and A4, and is also printed on - you guessed it!

As well as her prints, Sandra also sent us this lovely little zine. Furry Faces firstly made me smile as my own face is currently lost behind a fuzzy wall of beard, and a peak inside it made that smile all the broader. At just 7.5cmX10.5cm in size, this little hand folded zine contains 7 amazing illustrations; each packed with detail.

Beth Buss of Boodle Boutique currently lives in Bristol and works for the I Dress Myself, an eco-friendly screen printers. We first met when Beth Lived around the corner from No Guts No Glory (in Exeter) and popped in with some prints and greetings cards. Here’s her latest treat for the NGNG shelves…

Dave The Dog is a hand printed 3-colour screenprint, on 100% recycled straw card – and we love it because it’s got us in the mood for winter!

Finally this week we had an email from a friendly chap named Stephen Maurice Graham, an illustrator from Belfast. Stephen has a collection of paper cuts as a result of making too many home made zines, and can usually be found hunched over his drawing board or searching ‘line fidelity’ on the interweb. A recent inductee to the Illustrators Guild of Ireland, you can be sure to find his work at www.400facts.tumblr.com.

Cyclepath and Birds are both A3 Giclee prints, signed, numbered and limited to just 20 each.

Coming up – two more tees/jumpers that are due in next week, and New Things from James Wilson and Hattie Stewart!

Have a great weekend!

Nath.
