Hello!
Friday 9th April
Hello. It feels like ages since a No Guts No Glory Blog post, things have become hectic over the last couple of weeks! Here's a little of what we have been up too....
I have been spending the majority of the time working with Luke Hall and Laurie Robins on giving the shop a make over. This has been really exciting, and the guys have come up with some really good ideas! Nothing is to be revealed yet, but keep your eye's out for details on our shiny new look :)
Also with Luke Hall, and Becca Allen, we have put together a much anticipated second issue of the No Guts No Glory Zine, which will be printed and available this month. They have done, as expected, an excellent job on the layout!
On the subject of Zines, you may have previously read about No Guts No Glory and Get A Grip working on a new project called the D.I.Y Times. Well, we are just putting the finishing touches to the limited edition zine and it will most definitely be printed by the beginning of May. This has been a really exciting project for me, and I have enjoyed working with Kay and reading all the content from every one who has helped out and been involved so far!
Also, on the subject of zines (!) I have recently been stocking them on the website, and in-store and they have been selling really well. Pop in and have a look!
So what else have we been up too? Well, planning, and planning, and planning mostly. But in between that and eating hot cross buns, we have been starting to work on t-shirt designs, artwork, logo designs for Lofi Hifi, Exeter University Sailing Club, Silver Tree Nights and Cry Havoc. The soundtrack to all this has largely been me either slurping on tea or talking about seeing Chuck Ragan in Swansea, a fair amount of early Bob Dylan, and some Seasick Steve for good measure. Did any one see him on Top Gear?
anyway, peace out for now x
