No Guts No Glory Photoshoot

Wednesday 7th July

On Sunday afternoon myself (Nathan Blaker), Samuel Bradley and Sam Clifford-Harding took the new No Guts No Glory t-shirts, our medium format, 35mm and polaroid cameras and some beers for a relaxed shoot in the fields near Sam Bradley's house.

Bryony, Sofi, Leo and my dog, Winston, were our models for the afternoon and we pretty much just had a laugh, drank beer, explored, and took some photos in between for good measure.

To set the scene a little, here are some 'behind the scenes shots' by Samuel Bradley.

I shot with Fuji Superia 200 35mm film, using only a 50mm 1.8 lens and natural light. The light kept changing, with the sun leaking through the clouds in different strengths and it was good fun catching it each time before it was covered again, leaving me to chill with a beer and watch the others at work.

Sam Clifford-Harding shot using his rz67 Medium Format camera, with polariod film that expired seven years ago. It was great waiting in suspense to see the random variation of images that appeared after each shot.

Last, but by no means least we come again to Samuel Bradley. Sam shot a mix of polariod, Medium Format and 35mm.

Our intentions with the shoot were to produce images that were relaxed, with a natural and informal look. Everyone did a great job, and as well as the photographers a successful shoot most definitely relies upon the approach taken by the models, who were all brilliant and so easy going. Thanks guys!

Check out our Flickr or Tumblr to see the rest of the photos from this shoot, there are loads more!

Peace,

Nath
